She brings more than a decade of experience working in the behavioral health and social services fields, supporting individuals and families navigating complex life circumstances, interpersonal challenges, and transitions.
Tyra takes a collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behavioral patterns. Her work is grounded in the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and that meaningful change can occur when individuals feel heard, respected, and supported.
Tyra works with adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, communication challenges, emotional regulation concerns, life transitions, stress, and other interpersonal or family-related concerns. She strives to create a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients can explore challenges openly while developing practical tools and strategies for change.
With her background in both clinical practice and social-service leadership, Tyra takes a systemic perspective to treatment, recognizing the ways relationships, family dynamics, work, culture, and broader life circumstances can influence emotional well-being.
Tyra is currently practicing under a New York State LMFT Limited Permit and is working toward full licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Her goal is to meet each client where they are, help them understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and work collaboratively toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Are you feeling stuck in cycles of conflict, disconnection, or giving more than you receive? Whether you're navigating challenges in your relationship, family, or personal life, you don't have to figure it all out on your own.
I work with individuals, couples, and families to identify patterns that may be keeping them feeling stuck, unheard, or disconnected. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, strengthening communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and building more fulfilling relationships.
I hold a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. My clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Structural Family Therapy, and the Gottman Method. I have also completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 training.
Whether you're a couple working to rebuild trust, a parent navigating family challenges, or an individual learning to prioritize your own needs, my goal is to help you recognize your strengths, develop practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change.
